DRS4DL+ Radar Dome, 4kw, 19″ 36NM
The DRS4DL+ is a , 19″ dome Radar Sensor for NavNet TZtouch and NavNet TZtouch2. This 4kW Radar is presented in a compact, rugged 19″ dome with a 5.2 degree horizontal beamwidth antenna. Furuno’s automatic, real-time digital signal processing presents navigators with some of the clearest targets they’ll ever find from a Radar of this compact size. The DRS4DL+ utilizes a wired connection with NavNet TZtouch and TZtouch2. In combination with the TZTL12F/15F, this single-wire solution results in a very simple installation.
The DRS4DL+ spins at a fixed 24RPM, and has range scales from 1/8 nm to 36 nm. The DRS4DL+ is designed to work with NavNet TZtouch and TZtouch2 systems. It is not compatible with NavNet 3D.
Fast Target Tracking (TT) / ARPA on the DRS4DL+ manually or automatically acquires and tracks 10 targets*. After selecting a target, it only takes a few seconds for a speed and course vector to be displayed. With accurate tracking information, estimation of other vessel’s course and speed is made simple.

Target Analyzer
Target Analyzer may be one of the most innovative and revolutionary features available in the NXT family, automatically changing the color of targets approaching your boat to clearly show potential hazards. Green echoes represent stationary targets, land, or approaching targets moving at a velocity of less than 3 knots. Echoes dynamically turn red when targets are approaching your vessel at a speed of 3 knots or faster. It works the same when you are following another vessel. If the target is getting closer at a speed of 3 knots or more, the echo will be depicted in red. Incredibly, Target Analyzer works independently of one’s own ship speed!
Target Tracking
Interpreting and tracking threats is easier than ever with NXT radar. Using Furuno’s advanced Doppler technology, NXT Radars acquire and track targets in virtually every sweep. Almost instantly, you’ll see the target’s speed and course vector, and if the target is hazardous, it will also be displayed in red, making it easier to identify and predict its course. The NXT Radar’s incredible ARPA signal processor tracks and displays up to 100 targets! The entire target theater can be viewed, monitored, and tracked simultaneously, at any range. For an even more detailed display, target trails and Furuno’s unique True Trail feature can be utilized, allowing you to graphically see the direction in which a target is moving, independent of your own vessel’s motion.
Bird Mode
Bird Mode is another standard feature found in NXT Radars. With a single selection on the MFD, the Radar automatically adjusts settings for echo enhancement to help locate birds. Of course, finding birds is an important step to zeroing in on the bite.
RezBoost
The resolution of NXT Radars is already impressive, but we’ve taken it a step further by incorporating our exclusive RezBoost beam sharpening technology. With RezBoost set to maximum, NXT Radars offer enhanced target separation, in addition to its impressive long-range target detection.

AIS Plotter/Radar – Requires GPS Input & VHF Antenna
The Nasa Marine AIS SART Plotter is the first stand alone AIS receiver / plotter specifically designed for the leisure boat market.
The unit consists of a dual frequency AIS receiver, demodulator, signal processor and a backlit matrix display. It receives an NMEA input (RMC) from the boats GPS which puts the user at the centre of a radar style screen. A COG pointer is selectable by the user. All AIS carrying vessels and SART transponders are displayed with bearing and range relative to the user. Any vessel on the screen can be selected by the user. The selected vessel is highlighted and its data displayed on the right of the screen. This data includes the vessel’s MMSI number, name, course over ground, speed over ground, range, latitude and longitude.
The display, with ranges of 0.125, 0.25, 0.5, 1, 2, 4, 8, 16 and 32 nautical miles shows AIS carrying vessels and SART transponders in a format normally associated with conventional radar. A trail of previous positions clearly shows the relative track of all the targets on the screen. A box to the right of the screen displays the speed over the ground, the vessel name, mmsi number and the latidude and longitude of any target selected by the user.
As each vessel leaves a trail of previous positions the user can instantly see its relative position and bearing. Should any vessel cause concern (particularly if there is a risk of collision) it can be selected and its AIS data displayed. The MMSI number is immediately available so, in the last resort, a DSC call can be made directly to that vessel. If the user selects his own vessel then the screen repeats the users GPS position, course and speed over ground.
Each vessel’s status is shown by a different symbol so the user can see if a vessel is underway, at anchor, fishing etc.
The compact unit has a white backlit LCD display, operates from 12 volts and consumes little power.
*AIS SART Plotter is an AIS receiver only and does not transmit AIS data. It should not be confused with an AIS transponder.
