Operating in the VHF maritime band, the AIS system enables the wireless exchange of navigation status between vessels and shore-side traffic monitoring centers. Commercial ships, ocean-going vessels, and recreational boats equipped with AIS transceivers broadcast AIS messages that include the vessel’s name, course, speed, and current navigation status.

Raymarine’s AIS350 is a receive-only AIS device that allows you to receive and display the AIS data transmissions from nearby vessels right on your Raymarine multifunction display’s radar or chartplotter screen.

Raymarine’s AIS350 Automatic Identification (AIS) receiver brings boaters best-in-class features and performance in a package that’s 50% smaller than previous-generation AIS receivers. The AIS350 features a dual-channel receiver system for fast acquisition and tracking of Class A and Class B AIS targets. When used with Raymarine multifunction displays, the AIS350 supports Raymarine’s exclusive Buddy Tracking feature, which allows you to save AIS targets of interest with a special icon and “friendly” name. The AISLink CA2 AIS Transponder is a fully compliant Class A transceiver designed to complement the existing range of maritime safety equipment from ACR Electronics. 

This compact, single unit solution is capable of exchanging dynamic and static ship data with other AIS systems.  Real time marine traffic information is continuously interpreted using a powerful internal processing engine and displayed on a 7” full-color, rapid-response LCD.  The coastline map view and radar view have various orientation display options allowing for user preference while a standard target list display gives immediate detailed listings of nearby vessels which can be sorted to the owner’s desire. 

Used as an aid to collision-avoidance, the CA2 combines the trusted technology and product design that have become synonymous with ACR products.

The AIS message-sending functionality is simple to use, ensuring safety related messages can be quickly delivered or received by the user with very little effort.  An instant message and alarm function provides immediate notification of any potential problems or hazards.

Dynamic data such as location, speed over ground and course over ground is calculated automatically using the integrated 99-channel GPS receiver, while the static and voyage related data such as MMSI, call sign and name, type of ship, destination, ETA etc. is easily programmed into the AIS transponder via a user-friendly menu interface.
